From 29/04/24: accepting new referrals for Benefit Checks and benefits form completion for clients living in the [name withheld] area who are over State Pension Age.
Anyone referred to this service will need to have a chat with either myself or Ellie prior to an appointment being made.
Ellie and Judith are both part time so there may be a delay of 2-3 weeks at times from the date you refer; they will speak to your client as soon as possible.
For Attendance Allowance, our status as a DWP Alternative Office allows them to issue claim forms and request the date of claim be taken as the date of your referral. They then have six weeks from the date of that referral to return the completed form to DWP.
Note: Clients under state pension age may choose to contact CAB for support
